Glenwood High Coaches Program

Select Year 9 and 10 students from Glenwood High School participate in the Glenwood High Coaches Program, a unique initiative designed to develop leadership, teamwork, and coaching skills. As part of this program, these high school students visit Parklea Public School and take the lead in running sport sessions for Stage 2 students (Year 3 and 4) each week.

The Glenwood High students are responsible for planning and delivering a variety of fun and engaging physical activities. Their involvement encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and active participation among the younger students. By coaching and interacting with Parklea students, the high school coaches grow in confidence and gain valuable practical experience.

This program strengthens the partnership between Glenwood High School and Parklea Public School, fostering positive connections across the community. It offers high school students a chance to give back and inspire the next generation, while primary students benefit from fresh role models and exciting sporting opportunities each week.

The Glenwood High Coaches Program is a fantastic example of schools collaborating to build leadership, mentorship, and a passion for sport among students.
