The aim of the Parklea sporting houses is to promote a sense of belonging and pride in our students, as well as a connectedness to our school. House points form part of our whole school reward system. It encourages a team ethos across the whole school and allows children of all ages to have a common goal.

House points are given out as a recognition of achievement by teachers.

They include recognition for:

  • Demonstrating our PBL expectations in class and on the playground.
  • Being polite and well-mannered to those around them.
  • Participating in sporting events.
  • Bringing in cakes to the cake stall.

Each student is encouraged to contribute to their House Spirit and take responsibility for gaining house points.

Every assembly week, housepoints are collected and added to the leaderboard in the school hall. Winning houses are announced every week on Friday afternoons.
