The current playground behaviour system is going through a time of refinement.
At this time, teachers reward positive behaviour of students in the playground when aligned to our school wide expectations (see Expectations page)
Behaviour requiring disciplinary action is classified in 2 ways. Minor (yellow) and Major (red).
Teachers use flowcharts to determine the accurate steps to take when dealing with a problem behaviour. This ensures consistency between all members of staff.
Minor behaviour is managed by the teacher on duty. Major behaviour is more serious and requires immediate attention. The teacher on duty cannot spend the adequate amount of time doing this as well as providing required supervision of the students in the playground.
