Parklea Public School competes in the weekly primary schools sports association (PSSA) competition as a member school of the Ridges Zone. School representative teams compete against other local schools in weekly competition on Friday mornings.
Summer PSSA sports are:
- League-tag (senior and junior mixed teams)
- cricket (senior and junior boys teams)
- softball (senior girls team) and teeball (junior girls team)
- AFL (senior and junior mixed teams).
Winter PSSA sports are:
- Netball (senior and junior girls teams)
- Newcombe ball (all-age boys and all-age girls teams)
- boys soccer (senior and junior teams)
- girls soccer (senior and junior teams).
